| Below are some reviews about our
antenatal courses.
Baby Dolly Antenatal Course - Nicola. L
I was a little skeptical before signing up for antenatal
classes and wasn't sure how useful they would be, but
I cannot tell you how glad my husband and I were that
we joined Baby Dolly classes! The information and advice
about what to expect is invaluable and delivered in a
relaxed and informal way. The course gave us information
about all the options for child birth and what may happen
so that we could make informed decisions about what we
wanted. From TENS hire to providing a draft hospital bag
list, Baby Dolly classes really help you prepare for your
arrival.
Baby Dolly Antenatal Course
I would strongly recommend Baby Dolly to anyone looking
for antenatal courses! Both my husband and I thoroughly
enjoyed the sessions and found them so helpful as first-time
parents. Lucy answered all our questions and offered impartial
advice which was just what we needed. To top it off, we
have made some good friends through the course and we
now have a great support network as new parents!
Baby Dolly Antenatal Course - Sarah. C
My husband and my self found this course very informative
and interactive with practical sessions, which were useful.
It covers for example pre and post natal topics such as
Labour, Pain relief, feeding, sleeping patterns, bathing
for example and many more. We have also made great friends.
My husband found it very useful and I have no doubt that
he will be a good birth manager. Highly recommend this
course.
Baby Dolly Antenatal Course - Tejal
We attended the 5 week course, we both really enjoyed
it! It was really informative, non biased and has certainly
made me feel a bit less nervous about the birth. We would
recommend to all mothers to be.
Baby Dolly Antenatal Classes - Claire. L
Fantastic Course Lucy made me feel at ease and answered
all my silly niggling questions. I really enjoyed it and
learnt so much the way it was taught was really informative
and me and my partner came away looking forward to the
birth of our baby.
Here are some 'essential tips' provided by new
parents wanting to share their experiences
If you would like to add your 'essential tip' please fill
in the form below:
- Throw
the clocks away for the first 2 weeks when the baby is
born, sleep whenever
you can.
- Make
sure the hospital bag is well packed in advance and do
a check list!!! As I forgot the midwife notes, big mistake!!!!
- Bare
in mind labour is usually a long protracted process, so
don't ever panic and always ask questions of the midwife.
- Be
positive and confident at all times - keep your partner
relaxed and up beat.
- Take
a fan (I got so hot!!!)
- Take
sugary or sports drinks as well as water for you and her.
- Birth
partner: Change of T-shirt and could even wear shorts.
- Birth
partner: Hold her hands during contractions and help her
focus on breathing through them (breathing was key to
her get through it and the baby not getting distressed).
- Birth
partner: Learn the massage point at base of spine to help
her through contractions and ensure you can get it right!!
- Have
a birth plan and inform midwifes of it
- Men:
Take your shirt off and hold the baby when born - a great
moment.
- Enjoy
time at home with the Baby it goes so quickly!
- Pre-make
some dishes and freeze them, its the only way to get any
decent food you in the first month!
